Title: Finding Peace in Building a Solution: My Journey as a Product Manager
As a Product Manager, it is crucial to constantly familiarize yourself with your product, day in and day out. This rings especially true for lending PMs, who face the challenge of managing user calls and communication as part of their product's user journey.
Curiosity drove me to ask my colleagues a series of questions: "Do you constantly receive calls? Doesn't it bother you? How do you handle it?" These inquiries sparked my search for potential solutions. Although apps like Truecaller or the OnePlus blocker were available, they seemed inadequate to block

unwanted calls. Thus, I decided to take matters into my own hands, rather than relying on ambiguous blocking mechanisms.
My approach was simple yet practical: "If a contact is not saved on my phone, block the call." Admittedly, this logic carried an opportunity cost; there was a chance that I might miss some important calls. However, I was willing to bear this cost, even considering building an Android app from scratch if no suitable solution existed. It was a trade-off I was prepared to make.
Fortunately, I discovered this logic exists in Truecaller and, as a result, found my long-awaited peace.
